Orange County Alcohol and Drug Rehab Center offers clients three valuable treatment options.

	The first and indispensible treatment is detoxification. We help alcoholics and drug addicts detoxify from alcohol, heroin, methadone, oxycontin, cocaine and methamphetamine on a daily basis. On average our detox time frame is 10-days in duration. Most alcoholics and addicts cannot benefit from therapeutic measures before their body and mind is cleared of drugs and alcohol.
	The second and initial phase of therapy is called Primary Care. The Primary Care program varies in length but the median time frame is 28-days. This period is necessary to make the drug addict lifestyle as incompatible as possible with our program goals. There are therapeutic consequences for non-compliance with policies and procedures. We incorporate a concept known as the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle to dissuade clients from practicing self-sabotaging behaviors such as; dishonesty, denial, deflection, projection and displacement. The principle is usually thought of in terms of physics and measuring particles but we use it in treatment to measure where a person is in their recovery and in their disease.
	The third and final phase of treatment is known as Extended Care. Extended care can mean an extended period in primary care (upwards of 8 weeks) or an extended stay in a structured sober living environment (upwards of 6 months). Either way it is an effective and valuable treatment option for most clientele especially the younger clients and those who have been in more than one treatment program with mixed or negative results.

Alcohol Treatment – Drug Addiction Treatment

Alcohol Treatment is often the last resort for alcoholics. Despair and physical impairment are often the greatest motivators for personal change. Alcohol treatment is about changing from a self-sabotaging lifestyle into a healthier and happier recovery based life-style. Recovery is not about immediate satisfaction or immediate gratification but rather a patient endeavor into the world of truth and personal growth. Recovery includes a rearrangement of priorities and behaviors which include everyday subjects such as; relationships, sex, personal responsibility, forgiveness, nutrition, hydration, exercise, education, employment and self-awareness.

Drug Addiction Treatment is very much the same as alcohol treatment. Drug addiction treatment includes all the same tenets as alcoholism treatment. It should be understood that each person has a different set of core issues. Though the human experience has changed relatively little over the past 5,000 plus years it is important to understand what personal obstacles keep each individual from enjoying life to the fullest.
