Our Suboxone Treatment Program uses a combination of nutrition, hydration, rest and counseling to enhance the process of opiate addiction recovery.
Nutrition is a crucial component in any drug treatment program. Proper nutrition helps the body and mind recover quickly. Many opiate addicts, especially intravenous opiate addicts, do not practice healthy eating habits. A very common opiate addict diet includes; cigarettes, candy and soda.
Hydration therapy is important to all bodily functions including elimination of toxins. Proper hydration including electrolyte and mineral supplementation accelerates the detoxification treatment process.
Sleep is a critical component to opiate addiction recovery. Sleep reduces anxiety. Sleep encourages the body’s natural healing process. Lack of sleep is the main reason opiate addicts delay treatment and leave treatment early.
Counseling sessions help clients see the causes, risks and consequences of all addictive behaviors. Placing opiate addicts in a comfortable and safe environment give clients an effective forum to discuss personal issues that inhibit them from leading healthy and successful lives.
Suboxone Treatment Phase 1
Phase I Suboxone treatment is dubbed Suboxone Induction but it is used to describe any form of Buprenorphine HCl induction (Subutex). Induction is the initial stage or first tablet of Suboxone. It is important to distinguish it from all other phases because if done improperly Suboxone can initiate opiate abstinence syndrome also known as opiate withdrawal.
Suboxone Treatment Phase II
This is the stabilization phase. It can last up to 48 hours after Suboxone induction. The exact combination of medications and nutritional supplements is developed by your personal physician.
Suboxone Treatment Phase III
This phase is known as the Taper Phase. As general health improves detox cocktail changes from majority medications to majority nutitional supplementation. The goal is to get you off all medications.
Suboxone Treatment Phase IV
The final phase is the body’s full adjustment from dependence and addiction to a healthy state of mind, body and spirit. Without this final phase many clients would be using heroin, oxycontin, vicodin and methadone within 24 hours.
Phase IV (Discontinuation) is when craving for opiates gets eliminated and the mind’s ability to pass on drug use begins.
