Information For New Arrivals
What to bring and what not to bring
to Orange County Rehab Center
Pack enough for 7 to 10 days. Bring both indoor and outdoor
clothing appropriate for the season. Laundry facilities and
laundry soap are always available to clients at no charge. Please
note this list is not all-inclusive and management reserves
the right to safely store any property.
What you should bring
with you
•All preferred personal hygiene articles including
bath soap, deodorant, shampoo, razors, toothpaste and toothbrush
(we do provide generic brand hygiene articles)
•Casual clothes (appropriate for season), Walking shoes/tennis
shoes, Socks (several pair), Sweats, Jacket, sweatshirt or
heavy sweater
•Bathrobe, slippers and pajamas
•Prescriptions for any approved medications
Do not bring
•Any medications not pre-approved or without prescription,
Over the counter medications unless for a specific condition
•Alcohol based mouthwash, hydrogen peroxide, cologne,
or isopropyl alcohol or any items that contain alcohol
•Your car
•Valuable jewelry
•Scissors (of any type), mace, pepper spray, knives
•CD/Tape Player Boom Boxes (you may bring Walk-man
type with head phones)
Optional
•Multivitamins (one nationally recognized brand)
•Cigarettes or money for cigarettes (you may bring
up to $100.00 to place on the books for cigarettes, snacks,
etc.)
•Watch and alarm clock
•Personal address book, stationery, stamps and books
•Walkman Type CD/Tape Player (with headphones)
•Acoustic Guitar
Airport Information
We provide transportation to and from the following
airports:
•Los Angeles International Airport
•John Wayne Airport (Orange County)
•Long Beach Airport
Reminders
•Please note that all packages and containers of any
type are to be searched by staff upon arrival at Orange County
Detox and Rehab.
•In order to preserve everyone's confidentiality all
visitors are to report to the detox office upon arrival.
•All deliveries must be between 9-5pm Monday through
Friday at the detox office only.
•Pets are not allowed on visiting days.
•We recommend that you do not bring expensive jewelry
or large amounts of money to the facility.
